Wyndham Points Timeshares – Are They Scam Or Not?
Do you think all timeshare deals are scams? Have you been told to stay away from them? How many times have you been told just to say ‘no’ to that long boring timeshare pitch you hear to get your free tickets to Disney World?
Well, like anything, timeshares could be bad or good for you, depending on the deal you get, timeshares quality and also how you use it. Most of the time if you buy a timeshare which is forced upon you after a 3 hour presentation from a pushing timeshare company, you’re not getting a good deal. And yes, they will make you believe that buying vacation ownership is going to be one of your most valuable and important lifetime decisions…and yes, you could end up paying your second mortgage for your “dream vacation ownership” your whole life, if you did not get a good deal on your timeshare. Having said all that, let me tell you, timeshares are great! You can use them for your vacations, you can use them to make some extra money, and if you’re tired of dealing with them, you can resell them! Of course, it’s hard to resell your timeshare if you purchased it for $25,000 and trying to resell for $15,000, for example.
Wyndham (formerly known as Fairfield) timeshares are very popular among timeshare owners and timeshare exchange companies. They make your life very easy when you want to choose your vacation destination among Wyndham Vacation Resorts. The company makes it possible with their easy reward points program. You earn points every time you enjoy your vacation at a Wyndam resort. Think about people you know, your family, your friends… You could be sending off someone you know to a Wyndham vacation resort you really liked last time, also giving them an opportunity to have their dream vacation at a reasonable price while you’re earning your Wynham reward points. Their points are exchangeable with another popular vacation ownership exchange point system – RCI. The reason I like Wyndham points time shares is for their structure, customer service, reward points, more than 6,000 worldwide locations around the globe, including Wingate by Wyndham, Ramada, Days Inn and Baymont Inn & Suites, available from Wyndham and Wyndham Worldmark. Their reward points can be used toward thousand of redemption options such as free nights, gift cards, car rentals and even airline tickets. Wyndham resorts have activities for the whole family. They even have babysitting service for the children so that you can enjoy going out late with your spouse, inside or even outside of the resort.
Of course, like any other timeshare, depending where you get your Wyndham timeshare, you could get a good deal or not. You can often find great deals on Wyndham timeshares for sale on the internet. Make sure you carefully read all the details about these deals. You don’t want to buy a cheap deed for a Wyndam timeshare only to find out later there is a huge maintenance fee that you have to pay every year. Read all the details for the deals you find, no matter where you find them, and if you see something you like, go for it as it will not sit there forever!

Visitors should consult with their medical insurance company prior to traveling. Egypt has high road fatalities rate so you should prefer not to drive yourself unless you feel comfortable.
Peruvian Animals
The Amazonian basin covers almost sixty percent of Peru. The jungles of Peru are inhabited by pumas, jaguars, and birds such as the macqua and the toucan. Some of the other unfamiliar creatures are the Incan hairless dogs, otherwise known as Peruvian Inca Orchid.
The Andean regions of Peru house the llamas and alpaca. The llamas are bred for the meat and the alpacas, for fur that is used for making wool. Birds in this country are also a diverse lot. The largest flying bird on earth is the condor, and it resides in this country. Condors have a wingspan of eight to ten feet. The specialty of these birds is that they can cruise along the skies for hours without flapping their wings even once.
Around four thousand species of butterflies are found in Peru. Many species of animals that are found in Peru are considered to be endangered species, and authorities are trying their best to save these species. The humpback whale is among the most vulnerable species that needs protection from hunters and fishermen. The Andean cat is also a member of the endangered species list.
Due to the varied geographical climate and terrain of Peru, its flora and fauna are diverse. The coastal regions have a varied sea life. The inland mountainous region is colder than the low-lying areas of the Amazon River. Furry seals make a pleasant picture on the beaches in the Pacific coastal regions of Peru. Pelicans and gulls can be found flying in Peru’s coastal skies.
Pink dolphins and the Andean spectacled bears are found near the Amazon River. The giant river otters are also a familiar sight near this river along with the Tapirs and howler monkeys.
The Peruvian government does not have the funds to conserve many of its endangered species. However, help is sought from foreign agencies to protect these species. Agencies such as the World Wild Life Fund sponsor the protection of these birds and animals.
Traveling on the Tilt Train, Cairns to Brisbane
The tropical climate of Cairns was very appealing I would have liked to stay longer. I found it intriguing to see hundreds of bats hanging around on trees in Cairns on the last night there. Very noisy and very dirty lot they were as well! Unfortunately with out either of my cameras, both having died of “flat battery disease”. I was booked to leave after my short stay in Cairns and join the Tilt train for its journey south to Brisbane
Reluctance at leaving Cairns made easier by the thought of a business class trip on the Tilt train that runs between Cairns and Brisbane.
The décor and seat spacing made the train carriage interior most pleasant.
The train itself ran very quietly and smoothly. I had expected it to reach the higher speed faster but that was not the case. The seats that were very comfortable also had their own movie/audio screen. That was a real treat on a long distance train and the only time I came across them while traveling around Australia on the train systems. The Tilt train covers the nearly 1700 kms between the two cities in just under 24 hours all things being equal.
The train did reach speeds up to 138kms that day but seemed to cruise at about 100kms most of that trip.
Fascinating to see the acres and acres of banana plantations with bags over the huge bunches. Passing the inevitable gum trees that were interspersed with the blackened branches and stumps of past bush fires. The good regrowth-bearing testament to the tree’s stamina in what could be considered a harsh environment.
I spent a lot of time gazing out the window on the look out for the wildlife and birds.
The buffet car had similar food to the Sunlander, the difference here was the trolleys came around on a regular basis that made it very hard to refuse but they still required paying for of course.
This train was the only one I traveled on in Australia that I found the person behind the counter in the Buffet car with poor customer relationship skills!
The usual time of around ten pm saw the car settle for the night. It is always pleasant with no children and the carry on that some parents allow.
It was a brilliant trip to Brisbane; certainly, happiness is reading a good book, listening to great music, all the while moving smoothly and quietly through the amazing Australian scenery. Throw in huge ice cream and what more could any one want!
Our arrival into a sunny Brisbane, too early to check in to the hostel allowed time to check out an internet café not far from the hostel. It was so nice to see the sun, if somewhat cooler weather than the northern spots as my previous visit in days before going to Cairns had been wet and overcast. Brisbane is a great city to visit!
On the to do list for another trip in the future!
A Career in Image Consulting
You might have seen them while watching TV shows such as Extreme Makeover, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, or What Not to Wear. Or you might have heard that Martha Stewart needed them to give her advice on how to look sympathetic to a jury.
We’re talking about Image Consultants, and they have one of the hottest new businesses today.
Also known by such titles as wardrobe consultant, fashion stylist, or makeover consultant, image consultants are paid to show people how to create a fabulous impression. They might recommend wearing different colors or new styles, go through closets to toss out clothing that isn’t working, shop for a new wardrobe, and put together incredible outfits. They might advise a change of hairstyle, makeup, or grooming.
However, image is more than physical appearance. In addition to how someone looks, we also form impressions based on how someone talks and behaves. So image consultants may also advise people on their vocal communication (voice, grammar, vocabulary, etc.), non-verbal communication (handshakes, posture, eye contact, etc.) and etiquette – from dining to cell phones.
Most image consultants also develop a network of strategic partners they can refer clients to, such as hair stylists, makeup artists, nutritionists, dentists, personal trainers, plastic surgeons, and voice coaches.
Image consultants offer the kind of advice that can help people land a job, get a promotion, find someone to love, or just feel good about themselves.
It’s no wonder they are so well rewarded, typically earning at least $50 per hour advising individuals how to present a better image. A particularly lucrative avenue is presenting training programs for corporations. Image consultants can earn thousands of dollars a day teaching seminars on dressing professionally (including dos and don’ts for casual Fridays), telephone etiquette for customer service staff, communication skills for new supervisors, and other topics.
TIP: If you are one of the rare few who think image doesn’t matter, try shopping at a fine store dressed in what you would normally wear to clean your basement or move furniture. Then visit the same store looking well-groomed and wearing your best suit. Chances are the staff will treat you quite differently!
The first step to becoming an image consultant is to decide what kind of services you want to offer. You could specialize in wardrobe or fashion consulting, offer advice on communication skills and etiquette, or be a makeover consultant who gives feedback on “the whole package.”
The next step is to get some experience. While there are a variety of books and training programs you can use to quickly learn the basics, nothing beats hands on experience. Offer free makeovers for friends and family members who will agree to let you take “before and after” photos. You can then put the photos in a portfolio or on a web site to help you get paying clients.
There are many types of clients who use the services of image consultants, including: women who want a new look, job-seekers, corporate executives and their spouses, beauty pageant contestants, lawyers and their clients, cancer survivors, television personalities, transgender individuals, politicians, and singles seeking a partner.
“It is a great time to get into the field,” says celebrity image consultant Gloria Starr. A 20 year industry veteran who has helped shape the image of clients such as Destiny’s Child, 3M, and Celebrity Cruise Lines, she shares expert advice on how to get started in the FabJob.com Guide to Becoming an Image Consultant.
“This is the busiest time in my 20-plus years. People are looking for the edge in business,” says Starr. “Presenting themselves for success by dressing well and using appropriate business and dining skills opens the doors for greater recognition and success.”
Is image consulting the right career for you?
- Skills that can help you succeed in this career are a strong visual sense as well as excellent communication skills. You must be able to diplomatically tell someone what they need to improve about their appearance.
- Image consulting is a service business so it doesn’t require a large investment to get started.
- You can start part-time while working at another job.
- To be credible, you must have a professional image yourself.
